Stocktaking
First in the new year, I have to check what needs to be maintained, new or repaired. I started to read the hour meter, because I have to change the oil every 10 operating hours. Unfortunately I found out that I have no new oil, but I have to do an oil change. The next thing to do, was to check all the outher fluids at the motorcycle. That means coolant, which I change at least once a year, clutch- and brake fluids. I had to realize, that these also have to be renewed. Luckily, I have plenty left. I saw on the internet, that many drivers use a special device. A vacuum brake bleeding device, that uses vacuum to change brake fluid and the clutch fluid. Since this device is supposed to make changing the liquid much easier, I will buy it maybe. Then I took off the seat and the tank. Then I pulled all plugs and connections apart to clean them. Since everything was in order there, I built the tank on and the seat back on it. What I noticed, when I put it away was that my clutch cover and ignition cover are very worn. I was just checking to see if there were any protectors to buy. I’m thinking about buying them.
So my aim was to ckeck my bike and to plan the next steps.
